BACK TO BASICS CONTEST!

Here's your next contest everyone! Sorry it's taken so long to get one up, but real life has a way of interfering lately. I hope everyone's had a great summer

Back to Basics

School is starting back for many of you, and most times when you come back, the teachers make you review for the first two or three weeks. So, to keep everyone in the same practice, we at IFDDs are challenging you to show us what you remember! So what defines basic in a fractal? You MUST include a basic geometric shape (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, ect) somewhere in your fractal (rectangular frames do NOT count on this) and/or you must also show a basic concept of fractal art (self-similarity, iterations, spirals, julia forms, mandelbrots, ect) If you think I'll miss what you tried for in the fractal, please include it in your comments. We will accept minor post editing, such as frame and signature, but no other non fractal elements please.

TIMELINE:
Contest Starts: Now!
Contest Ends: September 25,2008 at 8 PM EDT
Judging Starts: September 25, 2008
Winners: October 1, 2008


RULES:
1.) Your entry must be made with ANY fractal making program such as Apophysis, Ultra Fractal, Mind Boggling Fractals, Fractal Explorer, ChaosPro, FTP, Quandrum2, etc.


2.) Must be a deviation -- not one previously uploaded to your gallery.


3.) Must be uploaded to the
Digital Art > Fractal Art
or
Customization > Wallpapers > Fractals
Galleries.


4.) Once you have uploaded your entry to your gallery, send a NOTE to =ImagersFractalDDs with a LINK to your deviation, and "SEPTEMBER CONTEST ENTRY" in the subject line. (We would appreciate a link back to this contest in your artists comments please. )


5.) We have a huge list of watchers who could enter this contest, so only ONE deviation per person is allowed. Deviations may not be switched/exchanged.


6.) STAFF may enter!


7.) Be creative!


8.) Last, but not least and THE most important:
